Chasing the shadow. Fun at the museum

Introducting children into the world of aesthetic values.

The first museum classes for children which introduce them to the previously-unknown museum space. We show it as a friendly, interesting, yet also slightly mysterious place. The classes are based of the motif of light and shadow, which are supposed to be found in various areas of the exhibition space.

During the classes, children will:

  • find out what is a museum and come up with ideas on how to use their creativity;
  • make the museum space familiar through activities based on the motif on light and shadow;
  • create their own theatre of shadows.

Once upon a manor…

Children participate in a variety of games – based on music, movement, art, construction, theatre and others.

During the classes, children will learn how their contemporaries lived in the past times, what clothes they wore and what they ate. They will find out what a manor looked like from the inside, where was the kitchen, what were the scents of the garden plants and how various rooms sounded. They will also try on various clothes from the era of Pan Tadeusz.

During the classes, children will:

  • learn what is the past;
  • hear a story about the old Polish manor and try on clothes from that period;
  • participate in multisensory exercises (hearing, seeing, smelling, touching); in groups, they will take part in theatre or art classes.
