4x4 Illustrators – contemporary illustrators from the V4 countries
Works of 16 contemporary illustrators of children and young adults books were exhibited in Budapest in September and October 2021. This summer in the Pan Tadeusz Museum we’re presenting the selection of Czech, Polish, Hungarian and Slovak artists taking part in the original exhibition.
The curators are literary translator Viktória Kellermann and art historian Emese Révész. Representatives of new tendencies of the world-class Central-European art of illustration are, among others, Iwona Chmielewska, Marta Ignerska, Emilia Dziubak and Katarzyna Bogucka from Poland, Renata Fucikova and Peter Sís from Czechia, Peter Uchnár and Martina Matlovicova from Slovakia, Norbert Nagy and Kinga Rofusz from Hungary.
